UEFA Champions League Football was back tonight with Spanish Football Club Sevilla FC being eliminated by Leicester City. Sevilla FC took with them over to England a 2 -1 aggregate lead & watched how that was overturned 3 - 2 aggregate in favour of the English.
The final score tonight was Leicester City 2 - Sevilla FC 0 with the latter down to 10 men after Nasri fell to a Vardy provoking trap to see a second yellow & a red card (73rd min). Pretty stupid, & undisciplined by Nasri for falling to the oldest trick in the book. Left his team in disadvantage just when Sevilla FC was close to scoring a goal away to force extra-time
But there is more. Sevilla player Escudero hit the bar while Nzonzi missed a penalty in the latter part of the second half (78th min). To add salt to the Sevilla wound Coach Sampoali was sent off as well. Overall a disastrous night for the Spaniards which ends their European Championship League run.
Leicester City played to their strengthens, quick counter-attacks with excellent finishing. Add some physical power & determination & there you have it. The goal scores were Wes Morgan in the 27th min & Albrighton in the 54th min
Deserved win by Leicester City as they earned themselves the Q/finals qualification, helped on by the auto-destruct attitude of Sevilla FC.
