Friday night LIGA results were:
- Espanyol 2 ( Gerard 27th & 67th min) - Malaga FC 2 ( Llorente 69th & Charles 90th min)
- Real Betis 0 - Deportivo A Coruña 0
Valencia CF paid dearly for not taking their opportunities today & lost 1 - 0 away to Eibar. The winner for the home team came in the 61st min through Pedro Leon. Valencia notch up their 2nd loss & are already in trouble at Club level & on the classification table.
In the next hours Valencia forward & Spanish International Paco Alcacer will sign with FC Barcelona. The player did not play today which is a clear sign, while Valencia negotiates with Barça for Munir as the substitute.
Osasuna lost 0 - 2 at home to Real Sociedad. The two goals from the visitors came in the 40th min through Juanmi & in the 80th min through Garcia.
Hard worked victory by Real Madrid 2 - 1 over Celta de Vigo. The visitors left a very good image as they pushed Madrid to the wire. Celta kept at bay Real Madrid with a very well organized defence which included goalkeeper Sergio Alvarez who made three vital saves ( with help from the woodwork).
However, the first goal for Real Madrid came from a mistake from Celta goalie which Modric "stole" in midfield & found Alvaro Morata who fired a fumble in the 59th min. Celta reacted & caught Real Madrid defence out of position when Orellana received a passed & fired pass Real goalie Casilla in the 66th min to equalize.
Real Coach Zidane moved the bench putting on Lucas Vazquez & James Rodriguez to find something different as Celta was continuously creating chances. It was Vazquez who set up Toni Kroos in the 80th min who placed the ball for the winning goal.
Newly promoted Madrid Club Leganes drew 0 - 0 with Atletico de Madrid. Leganes proved to be a tough nut & were very well placed in defence to frustrate all night the visitors. The Leganes goalie Serantes made three match savers to be an important element in his side overall performance.
At. Madrid will be disappointed with the result as they have two draws so far in Liga & this in La Liga gives your opponents on the classification table a notable advantage.
