Athletic Club Bilbao played & started off Round 12 yesterday, Friday night, against RCD Espanyol gaining a valuable 3 - 1 victory. Top match from the locals as they worked to find their lost Football this season & included three magnificently executed goals:
- Aduriz 28th min, 1 - 0
- Viguera 43rd min, 2 -0
- Iturraspe 75th min, 3 - 0
Espanyol managed a late consolation goal:
- Victor Sanchez 83rd min, 3 -1
The Espanyol Coach was very angry & disappointed with his sides performance & manifested his discontent in the post match press conference.
Atletico de Madrid won away 1 - 3 Malaga FC. Goals & plenty of yellow cards that included two sending off, Samu Castillejo for Malaga & Gabi for At. Madrid at the end of the game. The magnificent efforts today of the Atletico de Madrid midfielders Tiago & Arda set the winning course for their side. In fact, the former - Tiago - opened the scoring for the visitors in th 13th min, & later Griezmann opened up space with a second goal in the 42nd min. Malaga FC stay steady under the circumstance & admirably Santa Cruz managed Malaga FC only goal in the 64th min, but the visitors settled things definitely in the 84th min when Godin scored.
Mexican Raul Jimenez got a run in the second half & looked good. Had three clear chances to score, which should give the Atletico player confidence & motivation.
Eibar hosted Real Madrid & lost 0 - 4. Don´t let the scoreline fool, yes Real Madrid were overpowering, but Eibar played very well, showed spirit, good Football & had opportunities to score goals. The difference is the class, quality & the current form of the Real Madrid team, simply on fire at this moment. Added to this, Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos put in another performance of control & play that was artistic in all the Football sense.
Real Madrid Coach Ancelotti decided on Isco to fill the gap left in the midfield by the injured Modric. The result, great match by Isco; perhaps the team losses some creativity but their forward punch is still as deadly. The goals came in the following order:
- James Rodriguez 24th min, 0 - 1
- Cristiano Rodriguez 44th min, 0 - 2
- Karim Benzema 69th min, 0 - 3
- Cristiano Ronaldo 83rd min penalty, 0 - 4
Cristiano Ronaldo keeps accumulating goals, with 20 in Liga in 12 games. Extraordinary.
FC Barcelona comfortably won 5 - 1 Sevilla FC with defender Gerard Pique back after "thinking corner time" & Lionel Messi scoring a HAT-TRICK & in the process overtaking the all time historical goal scoring tally in Spanish Football of 251goals held until tonight by Telmo Zarra. A magnificent achievement that after tonight puts the mark at 253 goal (& what is left ), & from here I congratulate to the Argentine player.
Sevilla tried tonight but were out played in all areas, their only goal was an own goal by Barça defender Jordi Alba in the 46th min of play. FC Barcelona on the other hand were especially motivated & their "winning card" was the off the ball pressuring on the Sevilla players the full 90 min which lead to ball losses for Sevilla FC & costly errors. Apart from Messi who was the obvious protagonist tonight, good match from Neymar, Luis Suarez & Xavi all combining well with their team-mates & giving goal assistances.
Here are the order of the goals:
