FIFA has punished Spanish Football Club FC Barcelona with a 1 year signing prohibition over alleged under-aged player signing issues. FC Barcelona has taken the case to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) & are confident that the FIFA sentence will be lifted or relaxed. With this in mind the Club works looking forward into the future & planning next season.
According to Spanish Sports paper based in Barcelona , "Sport", FC Barcelona has made priorities Koke (Atletico de Madrid) & Lars Bender (Bayern Leverkusen) for next season. Both are young Football promises already consolidated in their Clubs, & while Barça will attempt to lure both they are confident one at least will dress the Barça uniform next season.
Barça attempted last summer to sign At. Madrid midfielder Koke, but the Madrid Club & player were not cooperative. This may change next season as Atletico still needs to sell to pay off its large debt & tax office obligations. Koke is seen as the natural replacement for ageing Xavi Hernandez & is currently the top signing objective. Lars Bender keeps growing & evolving into a fine Football player & has won "fans" within the Barça technical team & Directives.
Stay tuned, as natural, Barça is not the only Club interested in these young talents, apart Barça will have to convince their Clubs to let them go.
