SPANISH FOOTBALL LIGA ROUND 5 TUESDAY NIGHT FINAL RESULTS

Two matches scheduled tonight to kick-off Round 5 mid-week Spanish Football Liga action. Quick resume of events, the goalscorers & the final results.

Spanish Liga Soccer 2014-2015

Real Madrid hosted Elche & started with goalkeeper Keylor Navas, Illaramendi & Isco. Obviously Casillas, Modric & Benzema were given a rest but this did not change the fact that Real Madrid dominated proceedings with a 5 - 1 final result & win. Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals, that is, the Portuguese got himself another HAT-TRICK, simply extraordinary.

The "newcomers", Illaramendi & Isco had an excellent match, while Navas was not troubled except for a penalty - & the only Elche goal - given in the 15th min that Edu Albacer converted & that the Real Madrid goalie could not really do much about it. Real Madrid was only really pushed by Elche the first 19 mins with the visitors doing little more thereafter except some loose shooting. The goals fell in the following order:
  • Edu Albacer 15th min (penalty), 0 - 1
  • Gareth Bale 19th min , 1 - 1
  • Cristiano Ronaldo 27th min (penalty), 2 - 1
  • Cristiano Ronaldo 31st min , 3 - 1
  • Cristiano Ronaldo 80th min (penalty), 4 - 1
  • Cristiano Ronaldo 91st min
Good game from James Rodriguez who served goal passes along with Bale who scored himself with a header & served goal insistences as well. Toni Kroos was solid & hit the bar, while Marcelo was active along his wing all night.

Liga 2014-2015

Big Galicia region clash between Celta de Vigo & Deportivo A Coruña who share a fierce historical rivalry. The victory tonight went 2 - 1 to Celta de Vigo after Larrivey broke the deadlock with a 74th min goal which he headed from a corner. Before this Celta went ahead first in the 3rd min through a Nolito goal, but Deportivo equalized in the 55th min thanks to Isaac Cuenca. Climatic finish when Deportivo was awarded a penalty in the 87th min but Medunjanin had his shot stopped by Celta goalie Sergio Alvarez to give his team the three points.
