Spanish Sports paper "Marca" has gone out this morning with the story that Spanish Football Club Real Madrid CF & Bayern Munich have began negotiations over German International Player & 24 year old midfielder Toni Kross. This "rumour" has been ongoing for months & it seems - according to the paper - that it is slowly becoming a reality.
The Bayern Munich player has one year of contract left & he has refused to extend it telling his current Club that he desires to play elsewhere. It is in the interests of Bayern Munich to sell Kross this season because not to do so allows the player to go next season to the Club of choice free of a transfer fee. As of the 1st of January 2015 the player becomes a free agent.
Real Madrid has the negotiation advantage & it is written that they have made a 25-30M€ offer to Bayern Munich for Toni Kross. The Player & Real Madrid seem to have come to an agreement already with the Spanish Football Club offering a 5 year contract with a 5M€/season salary.
As I always add we will all have to wait until official notice from the Clubs before jumping to conclusions. The player will not make an announcement - or a visible move - while concentrated with Germany in the World Cup where his National squad is attempting to keep advancing & trying to win the title.
Stay tuned!
PS. Competition Sports daily "AS" publish all the contrary. They write that the players representative Volker Struth denies any negotiation with Real Madrid or any other Club. He claims Kross will decide after the World Cup.
