The 1º st leg finished 0 - 1 in favour of 2º Divsion Madrid Club Alcorcon. This time around RCD Espanyol turned the tie around & eliminated Alcorcon 4 - 2 in the last moment. Great match of Football with both sides very serious but Espanyol showed more determination , will & less mistakes. The goals came in the following manner:
- Oscar Plano 4th min, 0 - 1
- Simao 9th min , 1 - 1
- Sergio Garcia ( penalty ) 23rd min, 2 - 1
- Javito 80th min, 2 - 2
- Victor Alvarez 83rd min, 3 - 2
- Pizzi 86th min, 4 - 2
Alcorcon had the tie in their hands but defensive mistakes & lack of concentration allowed Espanyol to qualify 4-3 on aggregate for the Spanish Cup Quarter-Finals. They will meet Real Madrid.
The 1ºst leg went to Real Betis 1 - 0. Tonight however Athletic Club Bilbao won 2 - 0 with both goals from Mikel Rico ( 23rd - 67th min ) to eliminate Real Betis & qualify Bilbao for the Copa del Rey Quarter-Finals with a 2 - 1 aggregate. They will meet Atletico de Madrid which will be a top tie.
Real Madrid took the 1ºst leg 2 - 0. Osasuna hosted tonight Real Madrid in the 2º leg tie & lost 0 - 2 to be eliminated from the Kings Cup. The match was mostly controlled by Real Madrid with occasional incursions from Osasuna ( they hit the post ) that were solved by goalie Iker Casillas & the Real Madrid defence.
The goals came from Cristiano Ronaldo in the 21st min from a free-kick power-driver that bent the hands of Osasuna goalie Fernandez which saw the ball roll in, a goalkeeping mistake. The second goal came from a Jese incursion to the line that found Di Maria who knocked in the goal in the 55th min.
Other news of note, Coentrao after 2 month absence from the field was sent off in the 84th min & Morata got himself a knock on the cheek ( & with black-eye) soon after coming on to substitute Jese & had to come back off soon after. Bad luck for the youngster.
Real Madrid wins the tie 4 - 0 on aggregate & will meet RCD Espanyol in the Quarter-Finals of the Spanish Cup.
The 1ºst leg match finished 0 - 0. Tonight the 43rd min goal from Barral was enough to give Levante a 1 - 0 win over Madrid Club Rayo Vallecano & in the process eliminate them from the Copa del Rey. Levante takes the tie 1 - 0 on aggregate & moves onto the Kings Cup Quarter-Finals.
Tomorrow the last two games of the Spanish Cup scheduled.
