SPANISH CUP | COPA DEL REY - KINGS CUP FINAL GAME RESULT

Tonight the first 2º leg return Quarter-Final match of the Spanish Cup - Copa del Rey ( Kings Cup ) between Real Madrid & RCD Espanyol. The 1º st leg match went to Real Madrid 0 - 1 & tonight the final result was a 1 - 0 win to Real Madrid which gives them a 2 - 0 aggregate victory for the tie & puts Real Madrid into the semi-finals. They will meet the winner of tomorrows Athletic Club Bilbao - Atletico de Madrid game. 

The 90 minutes was relatively controlled by Real Madrid with a solid defence & numerous chances of goal upfront exhibiting a great performance from Espanyol goalkeeper Kiko Casillas who stopped & frustrated Cristiano Ronaldo. The only goal of the match came in the 17th min when Xabi Alonso made a long range pass to a in running Jese Rodriguez who controlled the ball & fired home.

Espanyol tried to pull a goal back but they were ineffective & even lost a player in the 76th min - Sanchez - with a double yellow card which finally took all the wind out of their sails.

Tomorrow night two Spanish Cup 2º leg Quarter - Final games scheduled: At Bilbao & At. Madrid & the other game FC Barcelona & Levante.
