For the four Spanish Football Clubs the outcome was:
- Real Madrid ( Group B) Juventus, Galatasaray & Copenhague.
- FC Barcelona (Group H) AC Milan, Ajax & Celtic.
- Atletico de Madrid (Group G) Oporto, Zenit & Austria de Viena
- La Real Sociedad ( Group A) Manchester United, Shakhtar & Bayer Leverkusen.
All the Clubs in this competition are very good & difficult, however Real Madrid may have got the "hardest" knock with the inclusion of Juventus & Galatasaray. Said this & relevatively speaking the Spanish groups are not as difficult as Group F were Arsenal, Olympique, Man City & Napoles are all on a fairly similiar level.
The competition kicks off the 17th & 18 th of September with the kick-off times TBA.
