More news on the transfer saga of this Summer in Spanish Football. News out of England suggest that Manchester United may be preparing an offer for Tottenham Hotspurs Gareth Bale. The idea according to Manchester United is to offer cash & perhaps Mexican Striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez.
Lets have a think about this. May it be all a "leaked" story from Tottenham sources? It is not the first or last time that Tottenham Hotspurs Directives ( or Clubs in general ) have leaked a story to sway negotiations their way.
The English Club may have received the words of Real Madrid President Florentino Perez that "100M€ was a lot for any player" as a step back. The Spanish Real Madrid President comments may have been interpreted at Hotspurs as a Real Madrid re-think about Bale & that the Spanish Club may withdraw if the price does not fall.
The fall in price from 100M€ is not in Tottenham interest at all , neither a withdraw from Real Madrid as there is no Club in the World , not even Manchester United, that can consider , offer or even pay 100M€. The offer of Javier Hernandez "Chicharito" makes no sense when Tottenham has just signed Roberto Soldado. Plus the player / s that Hotspurs needs are a left-back & a attacking midfielder, both are at Real Madrid & could be included in a transfer operation: Fabio Coentrao & Angel Di Maria.
The cited "The Independent" story could be a "pressure tactic" aimed at Real Madrid to "speed things up" & put the cash firmly on the table right now or asap. The cited story instead of being "negative" could well be telling us that the "Bale Saga" could be coming to its final stages quicker than we all think.
Stay tuned!
