Diego Lopez started ahead of Iker Casillas which will keep the tiring but damaging debate open another week. The more than likely coming of Gareth Bale has many current players at Real Madrid very nervous & it shows in their play Ozil was substituted in the 2ยบ half & reacted badly immediately going into the dressing rooms, Di Maria started & played his heart out attempting to convince that he should stay but his nerves showed. Karim Benzema scored the only goal in the 10th min after picking up the generous crumbs of a Cristiano Ronaldo effort & play, but that was it the Frenchmen did nothing more. There is a serious "problem" with Benzema which may force an emergency solution in signing a foward like Luis Suarez of Liverpool FC ( TBC ).
Cristiano Ronaldo is out of sync & Arbeloa started ahead of Carvajal but one saw that tactical criteria sacrifices offensive power.
Granada played with their resources & should be happy as they only conceded just one goal & managed to box in & keep under control the "powerful Real Madrid team".
Interesting week ahead for Real Madrid that must look to find settling elements & finally shut their squad. The continuing speculations on signings - Bale & possibly Suarez - & the rumours of exits - Coentrao, Di Maria, Ozil etc - are destabilizing elements which are affecting negatively Real Madrid.
