SPANISH FOOTBALL EXPORTS PLAYERS

As mentioned here on a few posts, Spanish Football has evolved over the years to become an exporter of Spanish Football Players. The success of the National Team on all levels ( U-17, U-19, U-21 & Absolute ) along with the explosion of talent has lifted the demand of Spanish players around Europe. This & the lowering of "cultural" shyness plus - perhaps - the diminishing "economic power" of many Clubs has encouraged players to make the "jump".

Last season 212 Spanish Football Players exercised their profession overseas. This summer 18 more players have joined them as well with the following notable names so far:

- Thiago Alcantara ( to Bayern Munich )
- Fernando Llorente ( Juventus )
- Alvaro Negredo  ( Manchester City )
- Jesus Navas  ( Manchester City )
- Jose Callejon ( Napoles )
- Cañas ( Swansea )
- Joaquin ( Fiorentina )
etc. 

The list may well still grow. The transfer season is open until the 31st of August.
