The Spanish U-19 National Football Team got off to a great start in the UEFA U-19 European Championship being held in Lithuania. Spain played its first group match against Portugal & won 1 - 0 to get the three points.
The winner came in the 19th min thanks to the goal from FC Barcelona youngster Sandro from a pass from Jose Rodriguez. Overall a worked match with a good Portuguese team that had their moments but could not convert. Spain will play the host team Lithuania next Tuesday were a win will put them clear sailing towards a semis berth.
