LIONEL MESSI THE MOST VALUABLE FOOTBALL PLAYER IN WORLD SOCCER

Which player is the "most valuable" in World Football ( Soccer ) ? This question has been answered by the FIFA backed "CIES Football Observatory" - Sport Studies Centre, report which has been picked up by Spanish Sports daily "Sport". The Barcelona based paper have elaborated the below infograpgh to give a "birds eye" view of the World Top priced Football Players.

According to the CIES, FC Barcelona player Lionel Messi is the "most valuable" worth 252,6M€, followed by Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo with a 118,7M€ price tag. The rest are in the following order, Cavani ( Napoles ) 67,8M€, Hazard ( Chelsea FC ) 64,5 & Sergio Aguero ( Manchester City ) with 56,4M€.

The criteria used are multiple but there are factors like , goals scored, shots at goal, recovery of the ball, distribution of play, dribbling, opportunities created etc & etc.
With all theses elements the CIES Football Observary concluded that the most decisive player in National League & Champions is Lionel Messi, while FC Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez is the most decisive in Champions League last season.

You may have noticed that Brazilian Neymar is missing. The reason is that this "study" is only for European Football based players. As from next season Neymar will definitely be in the study.
