Spanish National Football Team Selector & Coach Vicente Del Bosque has handed in his final & definite list of 23 players that will make up the Spanish Football Team that will compete in the upcoming FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil. The Spanish Selector handed in a preliminary list of 26 names earlier in the week announcing that 3 players were to be "dropped" today.
The three names taken off the list are Xabi Alonso ( Real Madrid ) due to injury, Javi Garcia ( Manchester City ) & Beñat (Real Betis ). On the other hand Valencia CF forward Roberto Soldado returns to the National side as a reward for an excellent final part performance of the Spanish Football season with his team.
Final list of 23 Spanish players:
Goalkeepers: Casillas, Valdés & Reina
Defenders: Arbeloa, Azpilicueta, Piqué, Ramos, Albiol, Monreal & Jordi Alba
Midfielders: Busquets, Javi Martínez, Xavi, Cazorla, Iniesta, Jesús Navas, Silva & Mata
Forwards: Pedro, Cesc, Villa, Fernando Torres & Soldado.
Spain now travels of to the United States for two Friendly warm-up Internationals before flying of to Brazil to compete in the FIFA Confederations Cup tournament.
