SPANISH SOCCER | LIGA | MONDAY GAME | REAL SOCIEDAD 2 GRANADA 2

Last game tonight of Round 35 of Liga & an important game for both Clubs. Real Sociedad needed a win to get back the prized 4th position on the Spanish Football League ladder that gives Champions Leagues options for next season, while Granada needs the points to get away from the "dangerous relegation zone" of the table. The final result ( score ) a 2 -2 draw that keeps Real Sociedad out of the Champions League 4th place with Valencia CF ahead by just 1 point, while Granada jumps up places out off the danger-zone & gives them oxygen.

As expected with both teams "desperate" the match was intense with its share of controversy as everything was debated & disputed ( a questioned goal offside, yellow cards... etc.). The goals came in the 9th min when Agirretxe put Real Sociedad ahead,  but was quickly replied with the equalizer by Granada in the 15th min by El Arabi which silenced the home-side fans. However, Real Sociedad managed to control the tension & nerves & got ahead again with a second by Agirretxe in the 45th min. Then a "miracle" for Granada happened in the 93nd min when Recio managed the equalizer & secured a valuable point that feels like a victory.

Real Sociedad controlled things most of the 2nd half but will be real disappointed to let the victory slip through their fingers as they "fall out" of Champions. Granada will be "over the moon". Exciting stuff right till the end.
