Malaga FC was received as authentic heroes tonight at their home ground after nearly touching Champions League semi-finals glory after Borussia Dortmund eliminated them in the last moments. They hosted Osasuna which had other things on their mind as attempting to accumulate wins & points to avoid relegation troubles.
The match ended in a 1 - 0 home win . Malaga began strongly with Osasuna gradually taking over as the game went on. Chances to both teams that were not taken but in the very last minute Julio Baptista scored the winner for Malaga . Osasuna will be unhappy & morally broken as they needed the points desperately & were harshly punished. Their hard work this season is not being compensated & tonight is another game where their early misses have been paid for dearly.
