Athletic Club Bilbao hosted Granada & won 1 - 0 against the grain. Once again the Bilbao performance did not impress & were outplayed by Granada which deserved much more for all their efforts tonight. But Football can be cruel sometimes & Granada paid dearly for their only defensive mistake when in the 68th minute Aduriz scored a header that would latter turnout to be the winner.
Granada even hit posts to let them know that the "Football Gods" would not smile on them today. Bilbao lost Susaeta in the 80th min to a double yellow ( red card ) & this gave Granada spaces to attempt an equalizer that nearly came but Bilbao held on.
The only thing that will be remembered tomorrow are the three points that Bilbao managed to win, & nothing about their bad performance nor the bad-luck of Granada.
Real Betis hosted Madrid Club Getafe tonight in a match that ended in a 0 - 0 draw. Contested game, very worked by both sides that turned both goalkeepers, Adrian ( Betis ) & Codina ( Getafe ) into heroes & match protagonists with their saves. The midfield was so tactical that chances were few & when they did appear both sides had the correct answers to all the questions. Shared points.
