If there is a team that needs desperately points that is Real Mallorca which is hanging in the dangerous relegation zone of the ladder. This midday the team managed a worked 1 - 2 victory in the last minute over Granada. Although Granada scored first thanks to Nolito in the 8th min, Real Mallorca was more patient & worked their game equalizing in the 12th min via Alfaro & getting the winner in the 94th min via Hemed who became the hero for Mallorca.
RCD Espanyol & Real Valladolid played out a 0 - 0 draw. Very tactical & disciplined from both teams that were weary of each other & preferred not to risk. Without any goals Football lacks the emotion & this was the case at Espanyol (Barcelona).
The Malaga FC & Atletico de Madrid match finished in a 0 - 0 draw. Missed opportunity for Atletico to get within 9 points of FC Barcelona, & now has Real Madrid just 2 points behind.

Real Sociedad & Real Betis played the odd match of the day, in the sense that it went against the general trend & gave 6 goals. The game ended in an exciting 3 - 3 draw with a home side revival & a Betis fight back. The last 40 mins was end to end stuff & both sides had the victory within their grasp.
Betis was up 2 goals by the 50th min with Jorge Molina scoring in the 29th min & Pabon in the 49th min. Then Real Sociedad turned it all around with a 51st min goal by Carlos Vela, a second from Iñigo Martinez & a penalty converted by Xabi Prieto in the 62th min to put Real Sociedad infront with a third.
