Manchester City powerful Ivory Coast International midfielder Yaya Toure is not happy at his Club. The news coming out of England via the local press is that Manchester City has not offered a renewed & "bettered contract" which has "disturb" & disappointed Toure.
Dimitri Selçuk, the players representative has said publicly that Yaya wants out, & wants out at the end of this season. The exception is if Machester City offers a renewal of his contract in the next three or four days. Basically this is an ultimatum to force the stalemate situation between player & Club.
But what if there is no offer from Man City ? The player via his representative has said they will begin to accept offers from other Football Clubs. Chelsea FC is said to be vigilante but Spanish Football Club Real Madrid is also sounding.
Real Madrid has already been communicated by their midfielder Xabi Alonso that he will not be renewing with the Club. The player may decide to leave at the end of this season, especially more so if Coach Mourinho leaves as it is speculated that both will follow each other to a new destiny. This leaves a gaping hole in the Real Madrid midfield difficult to fill except if someone of the profile like Yaya Toure could land at Madrid.
The transfer price is around 25€ ( the salary left in the Toure contract which ends in two years ) & this is accessible for Real Madrid. Yaya Toure has Spanish Football experience as an ex-FC Barcelona player & has the class to fill the shoes left by a departing Xabi Alonso.
We will see what happens, if this is just a "chess board" threat or strategy, if Manchester City gives in & if Toure does in fact rebel. If it is the latter, apart from Chelsea FC , the observers say that Real Madrid will go all out the get the man, the player & the midfielder.
Staying tuned!
