His been the figurehead Captain for years. Tough, ragged & outspoken the 35 year old VALENCIA CF midfielder Spanish Football player DAVID ALBELDA has announced in a regular pre-match press conference that he will not continue next season at the Club - or at least there is a 95 % chance he will not. The player spoke about the psychological strain & the new youngsters in line for the midfield positions which make it even more competitive to grab & maintain a regular place in the team.
This last point is one of the main reasons. Albelda is contributing less & less to the squad. His playing time has dropped & he feels the frustration of watching from the sidelines. The Valencia player commented that an overseas experience would be nice & would be considered but does not shut the doors to any Club.
