On Friday night RCD ESPANYOL continue will their objective of attempting to get as far away as possible from the relegation zone with an important 3 - 2 win over "troubled" REAL MALLORCA. Mallorca player Luna left his team with 10 men in the second half & a defensive mistake allowed Espanyol to equalize in the 68th min thanks to VERDU in the 68th min. The winner for Espanyol came in the 83 rd min with BAENA scoring. Brought the "house down".
GRANADA ended the winning run of Madrid Club RAYO VALLECANO win a deserved 2 - 0 win. Rayo had their chances but Granada goalie Roberto kept the visitors out. Luck was on Granada´s side with the first goal an own goal from AMAT in the 24th min that brought tranquillity to the locals. The second half Sociedad continued with their clear intentions of going after the match & a red card to Pique helped with the equalizer coming in the 63rd min with another goal from CHORI CASTRO. Then the surprise & the winner for the home side when AGIRRETXE scored in the 91st min leaving Barça without reaction time & thus take the three points & give Barça its first season defeat.
Madrid Club GETAFE drew 1 - 1 with SEVELLA FC in windy conditions that made things difficult the whole game. Sevilla midfielder REYES put his team ahead in the 39th min & COLUNGA equalized for Getafe soon after in the 43rd min. That was all as both side then showed why they are having difficulties this season as they cannot make effective the their chances.
MALAGA FC drew with CELTA DE VIGA 1 - 1. The goals came from DEMICHELIS in the 37th min for Malaga that was prized for their good first half. While Celta was prized for their efforts in the second with the equalizer from AGUSTO FERNANDEZ in the 76th min. Shared points.
