VIKTORIA PILSEN managed to defeat 1 - 0 ATLETICO DE MADRID & take the top spot of Group B. The Spanish Football Club went in with a "reserve team" & lacked the playing tension needed apart from missing some clear chances. The winner for the home side came in the 26th min from PROCHAZKA.
Diego Costa of Atletico missed some sitters & got himself a red card in the 90th min. His team finish second on the Group table & pass onto the next phase.
Nothing really up for grabs here from a Spanish Football point except some pride at ATHLETIC CLUB BILBAO in their Group I clash with SPARTA PRAGA. The game ended with a 0 - 0 draw & finished the European presence for Bilbao.
Great game this one in Group L with LEVANTE making a heroic comeback to draw 2 - 2 against HANNOVER 96. The Germans were two goals up thanks to STINDL ( 18th min ) & YA KONAN ( 26th min ) that seemed to have settled the game. However Levante with true grit managed to recover & grabbed a goal in the 49th min via ANGEL & the equalizer in the 94th min via IBORRA. Great stuff.
