SPANISH FOOTBALL - LEAGUE | ROUND 10 SATURDAY GAMES RESULTS

SPANISH FOOTBALL action on Saturday with four games of Round 10 of LA LIGA. Here is a brief resume of the main events, the final results & all the goalscorers.

MALAGA FC suffered a defeat at home to Madrid Football Club RAYO VALLECANO. Rayo scored two goals via PITI ( 10th & 60th min) who got his double, while the Malaga goal came from defender DEMICHELIS in the 49th min. Final result 1 - 2

FC BARCELONA keep travelling full steam ahead with another convincing victory 3 -1 over CELTA DE VIGO. The goalscorers for Barça were ADRIANO in the 20th min, VILLA in the 25th min & JORDI ALBA in the 61st min. For Celta BERMEJO got their goal in the 23rd min

REAL MADRID defeated REAL ZARAGOZA 4 - 0 in a match were Zaragoza deserved more as they dominated large periods of the game. Madrid looked during moments as if they were "lost" & little effective as players seemed to act at half pace. Perhaps Real Madrid had their head in the mid-week Champions League clash against Dortmund. It was the individual quality of the Real Madrid players that finally pulled them through. Goalscorers were HIGUAIN in the 22nd  min, DI MARIA in the 24th , ESSIEN in the 89th min & MODRIC in the 92nd min.

VALENCIA CF needed a moral boosting win & they managed this against ATLETICO DE MADRID 2 - 0 inflicting the visitors their first defeat of the season. The visitors took advantage of their opportunities with a cracker for SOLDADO in the 19th min & NELSON VALDEZ in the 95th min.

However, Atletico played better overall & were unlucky. They claimed two penalties on Falcao that were not called & missed some important opportunities. For the visitors it was the type of match that does not reward the excellent effort put forward on the night. Valencia on the other hand would have been happy to have gotten the three points under any circumstance.
