SPANISH FOOTBALL tonight with four matches of Round 7 of LA LIGA played with controversy in most of the grounds. More information below, along with all the final results of games & the goalscorers

Spanish Football 2012
Rayo Vallecano

Madrid Club RAYO VALECANO recovered from last weeks 6 goal drubbing to Valladolid & got some much needed oxygen with a valuable 2 - 1 victory over DEPORTIVO. PITI opened the scoring for Rayo in the 18th min & JOSE CARLOS added with another in the 29th min. Deportivo got one back via a penalty which converted PIZZI, but Rayo held on the rest of the match.

Spanish Football 2012
Zaragoza - Getafe

Controversy & a very angry REAL ZARAGOZA which lost two men to red cards ( Romaric in the 9th min & Alvaro in the 63rd ) to go down 0 - 1 to GETAFE. The visitor were not saved by the red cards either as they lost BARRADA in the 84th min with  the referee being the true protagonist in this match.

The winning goal came from DIEGO CASTRO who converted a penalty in the 66th min to give Getafe the three points.

Spanish Football 2012

More anger at VALLADOLID which hosted RCD ESPANYOL after the home side drew 1 - 1 in another controversial match with the referee at the centre of it all. Espanyol continue without a win this season & were perhaps badly treated as a last minute goal by Verdu was disallowed for offside, a goal that meant the winner. If that did not heat things, earlier in the match Espanyol player Alvarez was given a red card in the 45th min.

It was a very even match all round with Espanyol down to 10 men all the second half. With this disadvantage VERDU scored first for Espanyol in the 70th min. But Valladolid reacted & managed to equalize in the 81st min via OSCAR. Then in the 94th min Verdu scored but the referee disallowed it which outraged the visitors. Logical frustrations & nerves at Espanyol at this moment as they are last on the ladder with only two points.

La Liga 2012
Real Betis

Lights failed at the REAL BETIS stadium & caused an important delay in the starting time against REAL SOCIEDAD. This did not rattle that home team as the played a control game of Football & managed to win 2 - 0.

The goals came in the 18th min via PAULAO & later with RUBEN CASTRO in the 81st min the seal things & the three points. The blemish for Betis came with the 89th min red card to Mario after a violent kick on Xabi Prieto of Sociedad.
