SPANISH FOOTBALL - LEAGUE ROUND 27 SATURDAY GAMES RESULTS

Four SPANISH FOOTBALL matches scheduled today / tonight as part of Round 27 of the Spanish League. Lets get straight into the summary of the main events, final results & all the goal scorers.

Agirretxe scored twice

REAL SOCIEDAD won REAL ZARAGOZA 3 - 0 in 39 mins of complete match dominance that puts Zaragoza on the brink of the 2º Division. This loss for Zaragoza put out the little hope that existed that they may be about to lift from the last place of the ladder.


The goals came via AGIRRETXE in the 18th min, with a second via VELA in the 21st min & again AGIRRETXE in the 39th min.

MALAGA won LEVANTE 1 - 0 & in the process put a firm grip on the prized 4 th position of the Spanish League ladder as its also a "Champions League position".  The first 50 mins was dominated by Malaga which culminated in the RONDON 51 st min goal & the eventual winner. From this point Levante attempted to find the equalizer & nearly did as they lifted & gave Malaga some difficulties. However, Malaga kept firm & solid, while the Levante charge was too late.

Sporting - Sevilla FC

REAL SPORTING DE GIJON need every point they can gather in their attempt to stay away from relegation. Tonight they took a huge forward step defeating SEVILLA FC 1 - 0. The home side deserved the victory as they showed their teeth all game & proposed initiative. The goal - & winner - came in the 31st min via ANDRE CASTRO. Sevilla did not recover from this blow & were overcome by anxiety as the match went on. The visitors finished real disappointed as they can´t find a constant groove. Sporting on the other hand will be ecstatic &its deserved.

Cristiano Ronaldo

The REAL BETIS - REAL MADRID game turned out to be the clash of the night. Big performance by Betis that pushed the leaders to the limit & forced the visitors to find "that something extra" to solve the difficult situations. Betis looked Real in the eyes all game & played attacking Football that gave them two goals, MOLINA in the 9th min  & JEFFERSON MONTERO in the 54th min, & could have been more. There was controversy as well with handballs not called for Betis & even a cross-bar.

However, Real Madrid are very dangerous in the counter-attacks & they basically "kill you off" if they can manage to attack when the opposite team has 70% of its men upfront. The first goal for Real Madrid came from a precision Ozil pass that found HIGUAIN who fired home the equalizer in the 24th min.

The second half was non-stop end to end stuff & CRISTIANO RONALDO scored the second for Real Madrid in the 51st min. While Betis was knocking around Real Madrid after equalizing, a corner from Kaka saw Ramos header straight to the Betis goalie who deflected into the path of CRISTIANO RONALDO in the 72nd min for the teams third & winner. From this point Real Madrid held on,  literally,  to finally take the three points & keep the points gap with Barça in tact. Final result 2 - 3
