VILLAREAL WINS ODENSE 3 - 0 TO SECURE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE PLACE

SPANISH FOOTBALL will have four Clubs in CHAMPIONS LEAGUE this season after VILLAREAL defeated 3 - 0  ODENSE ( 3 - 1 agg) in tonights 2º leg preliminary Champions League qualifier. The Spanish Club joins FC Barcelona , Real Madrid & Valencia CF, & its the third time in their history that they are part of the maximum level in European Football.

Villareal 

Odense came to Villareal with a goal advantage & were a tough nut to crack with their goalie stopping everything, posts halting Villareal & missed chances by the Spaniards frustrating proceedings. The Danes even had a few opportunities that could have turned things around had they had some luck. However it was Villareal forward ROSSI who opened the can & lead the way with two goals in the 50th & 66th min.

Things then got messy with red cards given to each team that left both Clubs with 10 men. It was during these "delicate" moments that Villareal defender MARCHENA,  who had just come on,  scored the third & the sealer in the 82nd min to secure the Champions League Ticket for the Spanish Football Club.
