| Atletico de Madrid celebrate a goal |
ATLETICO DE MADRID made itself a promise before the game to dedicate the match - & attempt a victory - to honour the late Atletico defensive leyend ARTECHE who passed away this week. The locals didn´t let the fans down & won GETAFE 2 - 0 in a game that was worked & at times somewhat boring from the "visual" aspect.
SIMAO scored the first in the 37th min from a free kick & DIEGO COSTA scored the second in the 63rd min to seal things & grab the three points. Special mention to Atletico de Madrid goalkeeper DE GEA who once again was protagonist with some important saves that kept the goal sheet clean.

Great game between FC BARCELONA & VALENCIA CF at "Camp Nou" with the home team turning things around in the second half to win 2 - 1.
The first half was all Valencia as they dominated the ball & "danced" the home team with PABLO HERNANDEZ scoring in the 37th min. However, Barça took back control in the 2ºhalf with important players like Xavi, Alves & Iniesta guiding the side along. In fact, ANDRES INIESTA equalized in the 47th min after a "sweet" one-two with Xavi. Then in the 63rd min PUYOL headed an Alves pass that sealed things for Barça & took the wind out of the Valencia sails. A hard worked victory for Barça!

MALAGA FC hosted REAL MADRID & lost 1 - 4 in a great match that saw a brilliant Cristiano Ronaldo in action which is excellent news for the Club. The first 20 mins were scrappy as both sides looked to find their groove with a dangerous Malaga forward Quincy attacking constantly & Real Madrid hitting the "Wood work" twice.
GONZALO HIGUAIN opened the scoring from a pin-point Ronaldo pass in the 29th min. Then CRISTIANO ROANLDO did the second from the penalty spot in the 44th min after Ozil was fouled in the area.

The second half saw Malaga attempt to find the equalizer with more play, but an Ozil piece of winger magic found CRISTIANO RONALDO who put in his second goal ( & RM 3rd ) in the 50th min.
Real Madrid "relaxed" & in a defensive corner slip allowed Malaga Danish defender STADSGAARD to put in the only goal for Malaga in the 55th min. This shook Real Madrid back to their best & quickly answered back with a HIGUAIN 65th min goal. Real Madrid then gave Pedro Leon, Benzema & Canales a run & controlled things till the end.
Good exhibition from Real Madrid, especially Ronaldo along with Ozil, Di Maria & Marcelo, that gives signs of gradual improvements that may suggest that Mourinho is putting the pieces together. Good sign for this Tuesdays Champions League match against AC Milan. Tweet
