FC BARCELONA 2010 | THE CLUB WITH MOST FANS IN EUROPE

German Sports consultancy "Sport Markt" has released its "Football Top 20" report for 2010. This report is a survey that gives the estimated number of fans (admirers) per European Clubs. This is how the consultancy explains the survey:

The "Football Top 20" study analyses the popularity of domestic and international top football clubs in 17 European countries (Germany, France, UK, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Russia). Over 10,200 football fans aged 16 – 69 years were interviewed for the third edition of the report.

The result is that FC BARCELONA is the Club with most fans in Europe with a remarkable 57.8M, followed by Real Madrid with 31.3M & Manchester United with 30.6. The survey reflects that the growth of Barça in Europe is a direct result of the past years of title success that has enabled the Club to overtake dramatically local rival Real Madrid.
