FIFA WORLD CUP SEMI FINAL 2010 | POSSIBLE SPAIN LINE UP AGAINST GERMANY

It’s the big unknown, will the Spanish National Football Team Coach Vicente Del Bosque put on the field in tomorrows World Cup semi-final against Germany the same starting 11 line up as in the last three games.

The very latest news is that Cesc Fabregas sees his chances fall in starting as he has an annoying ankle & shoulder “injury” that he picked up against Paraguay in the foul-penalty that wasn’t called for Spain. He was taken to hospital yesterday for a scan that showed no signs of any damage, but in training tonight he showed signs that he still felt some pain.

With the Cesc option under a cloud Spanish Coach Del Bosque has a small “dilemma”. Does he keep & put on from the beginning the questioned Fernando Torres or does he give DAVID SILVA or FERNANDO LLORENTE the start. Everything depends on how he finally wishes to play the Germans who have their main strength in their rapid counter-attacks.

Del Bosque can:

1. Place Fernando Torres to open space up for the attacking midfielders & use his pace. These types of games may finally awake the “killer forward” in him.
2. Put in giant Fernando Llorente to give the German Central defenders plenty of work
3. Guarantee the midfield & the possession of the ball with a “5th” midfielder that could be David Silva - or Cesc Fabregas (if fit).

I personally – in my humble opinion – would secure the midfield to control the German play makers & secure the ball. If after 70 mins the game is in a stalemate I would put on a fresh Torres to run at a tired German defence.

Having said all this, everything written at this stage is pure speculation. There are 000,000s pseudo Del Bosque’s with their own game strategy out there including myself. Therefore, following the latest news given by the media observers following the Spain Soccer Team this could be the SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM LINE UP against GERMANY :

Casillas, Ramos, Pique, Puyol, Capdevila, Busquets, Xabi Alonso, Xavi , Iniesta, David Silva (or Cesc Fabregas – Fernando Torres) & David Villa
