LATEST NEWS - ANDRES INIESTA in starting Line -up
It’s the million dollar question: which SPANISH FOOTBALL PLAYERS are the candidates to take the place of FC Barcelona midfielder ANDRES INIESTA in the SPAIN FOOTBALL TEAM STARTING LINE UP against Switzerland in the Group H opening game? Seems like a question of state as Spain builds up internally with excitement & with contained anxiety awaiting that things start happening along with a positive opening result that is so important in a tournament of this dimension.
Who do you think will take the place of Andres Iniesta if he does not start? From left to right: Jesus Navas, Pedro, Cesc Fabregas or Juan Mata:
The very latest news is that Iniesta trained 100% & in theory is fine. But Spanish Coach Vicente Del Bosque has replied to the media question: “Iniesta? I have to think in the World Cup , not only Switzerland” This would suggest that Del Bosque could be thinking in sitting Andres Iniesta & not risking the player in this match to call him up for the other important games.This is the most likely Spain starting 11, with the already mentioned unknown:
Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Puyol, Pique, Capdevila, Xavi, Busquest, Xabi Alonso, David Silva, Iniesta ?????? ( ) & David Villa
Either way, while the Spanish Press build up some sort of "National social alarm" with the “Andres Iniesta factor”, everyone knows that there are other excellent players available to choose from who are ready to perform & be up to the top level required. What´s important here is that Spain gets a victory tomorrow to settle the nerves, build confidence & send a message to all other Nations competing that they are here for serious business , with or without Andres Iniesta.
Spain will no doubt come to a partial halt tomorrow around 16.00 hrs with the kick-off against Switzerland. I wish the SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM all the luck in the World – that is , the World Cup!
