Great news for the SPANISH NATIONAL TEAM & the prognostics for the STARTING LINE UP against Chile next Friday in the do or die game for SPAIN in Group H. The “FIFA Disciplinary Committee” has decided not to sanction Spanish International forward DAVID VILLA after TV cameras caught the Spaniard "fending off" with his hand Honduras defender Emilio Izaguirre who then made theater of events. The Honduras goalkeeper & the mentioned defender spent some minutes before the incident provoking & stepping on David Villa´s heals to which the Spanish forward reacted with a facial slap reminder & a “stop stepping on me” message.

The other good news is that midfielder ANDRES INIESTA is 100% fit & ready to retake his place in the team. Many observers covering the SPANISH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM are speculating that Iniesta will be back in the STARTING 11 LINE UP against CHILE next Friday. Also there is a growing thought that perhaps Arbeloa will come in for left back defender Capdevila who showed signs of tiredness against Honduras, this is only speculation at this point of time.

Capdevila does not look good so I agree with Arbeloa. I personally would rather see Cesc or Silva in for Xabi but VDB obviously likes playing the to two dm's together.

Ma Please said...: To be fair, Villa did strike another player in the face. This is punishable - period. Fifa's "disciplinary committee" is laughable. Are they really going to hand Villa match ban when Spain are in danger of being eliminated? Not a chance. FIFA has always wanted Spain to win this tournament. When Totti spit on Poulsen at Euro 2004, UEFA had no problem suspending him. When Figo headbutted a Dutch player in WC 2006, nothing.

With all do respect to a Spanish team that look good to progress and even win the tournament, I find it suspicious that FIFA "have no case" against Villa's slap. It's obvious to non-Spaniards that FIFA is protecting their investment. Nonetheless, good luck Spain.; 6:30 am

I agree. But a bit of luck Spain´s ways is appreciated. Perhaps FIFA cancelled out the injustice of 2 clear penalties Spain´s way not being called :o)
