FC BARCELONA are Spanish League - La Liga - 2009-2010 CHAMPIONS after defeating 4-0 VALLADOLID . It´s the 20th Liga Title for FC Barcelona whom have won it with a RECORD breaking 99 classification points.
The teams that go down to 2ºDivision are Tenerife, Valladolid & Xerez.
FC Barcelona only needed to secure a win to shut the title door on second placed Real Madrid, & they did this with complete dominance winning 4-0 & sending Valladolid to 2º Division. The first goal was an own goal from Valladolid player PRIETO in the 27th min that was added with a second goal via PEDRO (above) in the 31st min
The last two goals were scored by LIONEL MESSI in the 61st & 75th min. This gives him the "PICHICHI TITLE - Highest Spanish League Goalscorer" - with 34 goals ( 47 in the season) in the Spanish League, plus he claims the EUROPEAN GOLDEN BOOT AWARD as Europe s Best Goalscorer.The city of Barcelona is now a festival with celebration as the better & best team won.
REAL MADRID tried right up till the last moment, but they did lose twice against Barça in the Spanish League & that was the key. Today they only managed a 1-1 draw away to MALAGA who themselves assured their presence in the Spanish 1ºDivision for next season. The goal for Malaga came via DUDA in the 9th min & VAN DER VAART equalized in the 48th min.Real Madrid finish second & without any titles, this will cause some changes for next season with Coach Pelligrini currently in the firing line as Inter Milan Coach Mourinho sounds strongly in all the rumour circles.
RACING DE SANTANDER saved themselves against a "second level" REAL SPORTING DE GIJON who were already "saved" with a 2-0 victory. The two goals for Racing came via TCHITE who popped them in the 34th & 54th min.
VALENCIA CF won 1-0 with a 93rd min goal from ALEXIS that at the same time sent TENERIFE into the 2ºDivision. A real pity for Tenerife who put forward an attacking & attractive Football style all year that did not do them justice. Lets hope we can see Tenerife back at the Top level soon. 
The Spanish League - Liga - 2009 - 2010 season is over with Barcelona Champs. Now its FIFA World Cup build up time with a 11th of June start that has the Football World on edge awaiting its kick-off.
