Luis Molowny Arbelo, born on the Canary Island of Tenerife in 1925
& legendary player & Coach of REAL MADRID, has died at the age of
84. Real Madrid & Spanish Football farewells one of the great players
that served as an example of class & professionalism who dedicated
himself to the Sport & the Club that become part of his entire
sporting life: Real Madrid CF.

Molowny played a total of 174 games (3 with UD Las Palmas) & scored
90 goals in his 12 seasons in 1ºst Division; of which 89 goals was with
Real Madrid. A brilliant midfield - winger he became the idiol of fans
with his speed, dribbles & pin point passes.
As a player for Real Madrid 1946 – 1956) he gained 2 League titles
(1954 & 55), 1 Spanish Cup (1947), 1 European Cup (1956) & 1 Latin
Cup (1955).
As a Coach, Molowny gained 3 League titles (1978, 79 & 1986), 2
Spanish Cups (1974 & 1982), 1 League Cup (1985) & 2 UEFA Cups
(1985 & 86)
Molowny was an International six times for Spain, scoring two
International goals
