More SPANISH CUP action tonight with four games played of the 1º

tie of the last 16 teams phase.

VALENCIA CF lost to DEPORTIVO 1-2 giving the later a two
away goal advantage that will make it difficult for Valencia to
turn things around in the 2ºleg. The scorers were GUARDADO &
ALVAREZ for Depor, while SILVA pulled one back for Valencia

Real Madrid "killers" ALCORCON lost at home 2-3 to RACING.
Scorers for Racing were CHRISTIAN, GEIJO & MORATON, while
for Alcorcon LOPEZ & GOMEZ got on the score sheet. Racing
has the away goal advantage for the second leg.

Second division side CELTA OF VIGO drew 1-1 with VILLAREAL.
ROSSI scored for Villareal then ARTHURO equalized for Celta

ATLETICO DE MADRID turned in a shocker as they played one
of the worst games seen this season against 2º division team
RECREATIVO to lose 3-0. Granted that Atletico went down with
10 men but they were terrible on all fronts. Recreativo simply
exploited the bad defense & non-existent midfield. Scorers for
Recreativo were FORNAROLI , BARRALES (p) & CANDEIAS.

Spanish Cup continues tomorrow with the last three games to
be played in the 1ºleg.
