Round 7 of the Spanish League – “La Liga”. Here is a brief summary
of results, scorers & videos of some brilliant goals that were scored
today.
Big surprise in the DEPORTIVO A CORUÑA clash with SEVILLA FC,
the end result was a 1-0 victory for the home team. A thoroughly
well deserved win for Deportivo who put in a grand game with
organization & good planning that was reward with a brilliant
JUAN RODRIGUEZ goal in the 37th min. This victory by Deportivo
manages to put Sevilla "down to earth" as there was a feeling from the
Club of “over excitement” after defeating Real Madrid in their last
Liga game. Watch the VIDEO of the only goal from this match:

Another milestone for RAÚL GONZALEZ BLANCO, Captain of Real
Madrid, who was paid tribute before the game against Valladolid in
his home ground of “Santiago Bernabeu” after reaching the Club
all-time record of 711 games.
He played a fundamental part in the REAL MADRID 4 – 2 victory over
REAL VALLADOLID with his teams first two goals in the 14th & 17th
min. But the final score line again was deceiving, with Ronaldo out
injured & Kaká on the bench, Real Madrid struggled with a Valladolid
team that pushed them hard & could have scored more.
What the game did have was high quality goals, both by execution
& estetically speaking as you can watch in the first goal of Valladolid
from NAUZET in the 29th min with this amazing free kick:

Valladolid then dominated & it wasn’t until the 46th min of the first
half that Real Madrid managed to stop the waves of attacks from its
opponent when MARCELO scored this gem for a 3-1 score:

The 2º half saw Valladolid retake the match & scored via MARCOS in
the 53rd min to make it 3-2 & again illustrate that Real Madrid have
still work to do with their defensive scheme & set up. Real Madrid had
to resort to Kaká & Higuaín (change Benzema & Van Der Vaart) to
bring back stability & it worked when HIGUAÍN scored his teams
fourth goal in this spectacular fashion, watch:

Madrid managed to keep out Valladolid, who nearly scored a third, to
win the three points & at least keep the momentum going if not with
convincing play.
VALENCIA CF did a great game tonight to end up in a 0-0 draw
against FC BARCELONA,even without David Villa who could not
recover in time from his injury. The home team started strong &
maintained the tension throughout the entire game. Lots of missed
chances for Valencia of which they will be disappointed, but Barça
deserve merit to have kept them out of their net; they can thank
goalkeeper VICTOR VALDES.
primarily to INIESTA who is back in action. However, Valencia counter
punched all the time via SILVA & PABLO HERNANDEZ superb all night,
along with MATA who had waves of influence & chances.

Resuming, it was a fantastic game of end to end play, tactically
disciplined & very intense that was very pleasing to the eye & kept
the nerves on edge. The least important, although noticeable was
the 0-0 draw that could have been quite simply anything else. Tweet
