ATLETICO DE MADRID: EX WEST HAM LUCAS NEILL AVAILABLE

News in from Spanish daily “Marca” suggests a possible solution to the
ATLETICO DE MADRID mess-up last Monday when Dutch defender
John Heitinga left the Club for Premier League Team EVERTON &
left the Spanish team without time to react & find a suitable substitute.

WEST HAM ex - Captain & Australian-Irish 31 year old right back
LUCAS NEILL has been left out without a team for this season which
makes him an attractive & eligible player even though the transfer
window closed on the 31st of August. ATLETICO DE MADRID is thinking
on the player to join them (he would come free of transfer) ,
along with Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers & Hull City, with the Spanish
option resulting much more attractive due to Spain’s favourable
income tax conditions.

Atletico de Madrid is currently experiencing a huge fan uproar
locally for the lack of pre-season planning & the lack of signings
that has Football Director Jesus Garcia Pitrach on the ropes. It is
now up to Neill to decide if he wishes to change course & land in
Atletico for the next seasons.

Stay tuned!

It could be a good move for Lucas Neil if he ends up at Atletico Madrid. That means he will also get to play in the Champions League but lets wait and see what happens next.
