UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2009-2010 DRAW - EXTRAORDINARY MATCHES FOR SPANIARDS

The UEFA Champions League Group draw has just been held in
Monaco & it has put together some extraordinary clashes where the
only winner is the Football Fan.












In what concerns Spanish Teams, there are some great Club &
individual clashes that may have a certain taste of revenge: FC
Barcelona vs Inter Milan (Ibrahimovic vs Eto´o) & Real Madrid
vs AC Milan ( Kaká vs Ronaldinho).














However, one can say that ATLETICO DE MADRID got the bad
end of the draw with a difficult Group, with SEVILLA FC relatively
doing well. But have a look at Group C: Milan, Real Madrid & Olympique
all top level sides. Remember only the top two teams of each Group
go through into the next final rounds.

Apart from the Group draw, UEFA announced their Best Player
Awards for 2008-2009. Here are the winners:

Best Goalkeeper: Edwin Van Der Saar (Man Utd.)

Best Defender: John Terry (Chelsea FC)

Best Midfielder: Xavi Hernandez (FC Barcelona)

Best Forward : Leo Messi (FC Barcelona)

Best Player Champions League 08-09: LEO MESSI















As expected FC Barcelona Argentine star took both Best Forward &
UEFA Player Awards & sets the path clear to almost certainly take
the "France Football Golden Ball" & FIFA World Player later this
