SANTIAGO BERNABEU TROPHY 2009: REAL MADRID 4 - ROSENBERG 0 (VIDEO GOALS)

REAL MADRID used its traditional new season showcase, the "Santiago
Bernabeu Trophy" match, in front of its home crowd & fans to
present some of their new signings (Xabi Alonso, Arbeloa, Garay &
Granedo), farewell 10 year veteran defender MICHEL SALGADO (see
below video) & defeat Norwegian team ROSENBERG 4-0.

Real Madrid put onto the field their best team at this moment to
dominate the match with a – with all due respects – lower level
team that served as a good sparring partner as the Spaniards
fine-tune for the start of “La Liga” this weekend. The “vibrations”
were good with two great goals from BENZEMA ( 11th & 26th min),
a cracker & not to be missed goal from LASS DIARRA in the 25th &
RAUL with a header in the 55th min. See all the goals on the

Everyone got a run towards the end with VAN NISTELROOY &
M.DIARRA getting back onto the field after 8 months of recovering
from serious knee injuries. Cristiano Ronaldo was discreet as he
still needs to find his place within the team & Kaká was "timid"
allowing others to be the protagonist.

Overall, Real Madrid is getting better with each game & is on course
to do big things. It’s just a question of time & patience as the squad
looks – at least on paper – awesome. At times their on field performance
