Spanish media has published that FC BARCELONA has secured
the transfer of SHAKHTAR DONETSK 22 year old Central defender
DMYTRO CHYGRNSKIY for 25M€ although it will not be
announced as official until this Saturday as the final details will
be shut at Monaco today & tomorrow as both teams meet Friday
in the European SuperCup. Although the player cannot play the
Champions League this season, Barça consider his incorporation
as vital as the risk of possible injuries during this long upcoming
2009-2010 season to regulars like Marquez, Pujol, Pique…etc, needs
a defender of guarantees & of quality in case of a worst case
scenario.

Striker, is there any news if Barca would be signing a new winger!?
Juan Mata of Valencia Cf was the last failed attempt. Since then nothing has been said, because Barça are a bit stiff on cash after Ibrahimovic & now Chygrynskiy may "break them".
It looks like Guardiola is "grooming" Bojan & perhaps Jaffren as alternatives to Henry if he needs rest or is injuried.
Having said this, until the 31st of August anything is possible
