played tonight with REAL MADRID playing its last game on home
turf & saying goodbye to its fans. But Real Madrid just hasn’t its
head concentrated & the spirit is totally gone after they lost the
last train to the title with the defeat at the hands of FC Barcelona.
Tonight another defeat at the hands of MALLORCA 1-3 who quite
frankly overran Real in the second half, & it was a pity because
Real Madrid defender & Italian International Captain said his final
goodbye tonight. FABIO CANNAVARO was substituted in the 57th
min & was given a final grand ovation as he was visibly emotional
as he touched his heart. Perhaps the way the team played tonight
a few more of the current players may join him & disappear
elsewhere next season.
Real Madrid started scoring first in the 20th min thanks to – yes it
is he again – GONZALO HIGUAÍN who headed a fine goal & he
notched up his 100th game for the Club tonight.
However the Real Madrid concentration fell off 6 minutes later
as ARANGO equalized for Mallorca. From here onwards the home
side gradually lost the protagonist role & dropped off the stage.
Mallorca grew & they managed to go ahead in the 59th min with
a superb goal from CLEBER that was later followed by another by
KEITA in the 71st min. There could have been more, but luckly -
& god knows how – the flood was stopped & the Football waters
calmed.
A great victory for Mallorca & a disappointing performance by Real
who gave a poor image on their goodbye for this season in front of
their crowd. In fact, it’s indicative of the whole season for them;
uphill all the way with serious internal Club problems & changes
throughout the season – e.g. Coach - which destabilized the team.
One thing we can be sure of is that changes will come & serious
changes at that for the good of the Club. Real Madrid has another
throughout the season – e.g. Coach - which destabilized the team.
One thing we can be sure of is that changes will come & serious
changes at that for the good of the Club. Real Madrid has another
game away next week, but SFS is sure they thought tonight was it
& were already thinking on their holiday plans
