SPANISH FOOTBALL - LA LIGA 2008/09 - ROUND 38 SUNDAY GAMES RESULTS

Six games of Round 38 today of the Spanish League that signals the
end of the season & decided who will go down to 2ºDivision. REAL
BETIS joins RECREATIVO & NUMANCIA into 2º Division as the first
failed to gain the needed 3 points.
















REAL BETIS drew 1-1 with VALLADOLID to be sent to 2ºDivision
next season. AGUIRRE scored first for Valladolid & then OLIVEIRA
equalized for Betis. However just a point was not enough to save
Betis














REAL SPORTING DE GIJON saved itself to remain in the 1ºst
Division after they defeated RECREATIVO 2-1. Recreativo scored
first via MARTIN, but Gijon got back to score twice via BARRAL
& LUIS MORAN


















SEVILLA closed its great season with a 0-2 victory over NUMANCIA.
Goals came from ARMENTEROS & MORENO














RACING & GETAFE drew 1-1 with the latter saving itself to stay
in 1ºDivision. MORAL scored for Racing & GRANERO drew for
Getafe.

ESPANYOL won 3-0 MALAGA with all 3 goals from TAMUDO
Great way to end the season with Espanyol staying in 1ºst Division
& a HAT-TRICK from its Captain

OSASUNA heroically saved themselves & stay in 1ºst Division after

winning REAL MADRID 2-1. Its Real Madrid 5th straight loss as they

are now thinking in their own personal Club "revolution". HIGUAIN

scored first for Real Madrid, to later see them down to 9 men &
Osasuna score two goals via PLASIL & JUANFRAN.
