Saturday Real Madrid - FC Barcelona game which saw the latter
win 2-6 & virtually sealed the "Liga" Title. See post below, or click

Meanwhile, here is a summary of the rest of the games which
were just as important, especially for teams playing to avoid
relegation to the 2º Division.
VILLAREAL are just not recovering their past play since the loss of
key players to injury. They lost on Saturday to SEVILLA 0-2 with
goals from LUIS FABIANO (58th min) & KANOUTE (above - 85th min).
Villareal are in a stiff fight to secure Champions table positions &
they need to string some wins if they are to count on Europe for
next season.
NUMANCIA is last & fight for their 1ºst Division life, so much so,
that they have dented MALAGA´s Euro aspirations with a brave
2-0 victory that could have been 3 if Aranda have´nt failed a
penalty in the last minute yesterday night. Goals came from
MORENO (1st min) & DEL PINO (63rd min).
ESPANYOL have pulled another victory 3-0, this time over
VALENCIA CF to give them more hope of getting out of the
relegation zone "Black Hole". They played a brilliant game &
deserved the victory to take them now 5 points away from the
dangerzone. The three goals came from ROMAN (66th min),
PAREJA with a great free kick (83rd min) & NENE (92nd min via
penalty). Can Espanyol save itself?
DEPORTIVO are not giving up on Uefa places & won 1-0
VALLADOLID with a goal from LASSAD in the 6th min. Deportivo
are just 2ºpoints from the European Uefa places.
MALLORCA secures it mid-table position with another win 2-1
over GETAFE who are one place from relegation. Getafe new
Coach Michel could´nt help his team win as JURADO &
ADURIZ scored for Mallorca. The consolation goal for Getafe
came thanks to NAVARRO. Dangerous moments for Getafe!
RACING DE SANTANDER were beaten by 2 goals from ORTIZ
(above) in the 2nd & 12th min to give ALMERIA the 0-2 win. From
here onward Racing did´nt recover although Zigic did hit the post.
OSASUNA have´nt shaken the relegation ghost yet as second last
team RECREATIVO won them 1-2 & remind the former that wins &
points are still necessary. Osasuna started well with a goal by
PANDIANI in the 25th min, but Osasuna lost the game in the last
part with goals from MARTIN in the 81st & MORRIS in the 95th min
to lenghten the suffering of Osasuna.
REAL SPORTING DE GIJON drew 1-1 with ATHLETIC DE BILBAO
& put the former in the relegation zone. BILIC scored & put
Sporting ahead in the 61st min , but IROALA drew for Bilbao in
the 92nd min. A real pity & mini disaster for Gijon as they let
3ºpoints slip from through their fingers & put their future in
1º Division in danger.
DIEGO FORLAN gave ATLETICO DE MADRID its victory 0-2 over
REAL BETIS to put his team back into the Euro positions (5th
equal with Villareal) & 1 ºpoint behind Valencia who have the
valuable 4th Champions League place which is up for grabs.
