BASKETBALL: SPAIN WILL HOST 2014 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

SPAIN has defeated Italy & China to be elected as the host nation
for the 2014 World Basketball Championships. The tournament
will take place between the 30th of August & 14th of September
in the following cities: Madrid, Bilbao, Sevilla, Las Palmas &
Granada. Spain lasted hosted the World Basketball Championships
28 years ago.

According to local media sources, Spain defeated Italy in the final
voting 11 to 8, after China was eliminated in the first round .
SPAIN is the current reigning WORLD CHAMPION after winning the
title in Tokyo in 2006
