TORRES has given an interview in Britain which has been syndicated
throughout Europe landing in the Italian daily “La Gazzetta dello Sport” &
has been picked up here by all the important Sports dailys.The message is the
same as the last interviews, a big NO to Real Madrid if they are thinking of
asking, his total happiness with Liverpool & a new insight, that he would
enjoy a time in Italian Football. Here are his words below in Spanish which
SFS translates:
"Dentro de algunos años me gustaría tener una experiencia en la Serie A en
algún gran club como pudiera ser el Inter o el Milan. Así podría decir que
jugué en los tres grandes campeonatos del mundo", asegura.” In a few years
I would like to have the experience of Serie A with a great Club that could be
either Milan or Inter. That way I could say that I managed to play in all the
three Best Leagues in The World”.
The Italian experience won’t be for a long time yet. In that same interview
Torres added that he feels at home with Liverpool..."they treat me like a star,
like Gerrard or Carragher". He continues that he has four more years of
contract & wishes to return the warmth of the Club & the fans with titles,
especially the Premier League, a title that’s been missing for a long time.
One of the many SFS World wide sporting correspondents, Guiseppe Maldini,
has given SFS an exclusive. It’s suspected that Torres has been in Italy recently
learning up on his Italian & the culture & was spotted in a Gondola in a Venice
canal. Its difficult to make him out as he was apparently hiding from media
dressed as the oarsmen in the first gondola in the clip, singing in Italian to
blend in 100% & avoid the press...
