ATLETICO DE MADRID HAVE SILVA & NEGREDO ON THE AGENDA

VALENCIA CF
Spanish International DAVID SILVA was on the agenda of
ATLETICO DE MADRID when ex – Coach Javier Aguirre was in charge.
That “professional attraction” is still strong today according to local daily
AS” who publish that the Madrid Club will be back attempting to sign the
player for the 2009/ 2010 season.Atletico estimate that they can compete in the
20-25M€ transfer price range & will exploit the opportunity that exists at the
moment within the Valencia Club in desperate need of cash to get out of its
sticky financial crisis.

But top class young players like the 23 year old Silva attract other Clubs & in
this case bigger than Atletico. Silva has a list of pretenders like JUVENTUS
who are very keen,Liverpool FC, FC Barcelona & Real Madrid, all of which
may complicate the desires of Atletico de Madrid.

Another name being studied at ATLETICO DE MADRID is ALMERIA Top
scoring forward NEGREDO. The player has contract with Almeria with a
18M€ release clause, but REAL MADRID have a first option of buy seeing
it’s that Club from which he came from. That option expires at the end of this
season & Atletico will have to wait & see if Real take that option up. As with
the above Silva case, there is a list of pretenders waiting to see how things

develop like Manchester City, Aston Villa, Fulham, Liverpool FC,
Sevilla CF & Valencia CF.
