ROBBEN. According to the newspaper, Liverpool Spanish Coach Rafael
Benitez is already planning next season after extending his contract with
the English Club until 2014. The Coach sees REAL MADRID Dutch winger
Robben as the player that can give Liverpool that something extra that is
needed to strengthen the side.
Difficult if you consider that Real paid Chelsea FC 36M€ & would need
to at least equal this, plus the winger is turning out to be a vital piece of
the current Real Madrid team. However, having said this, there are a few
factors that are on the horizon that may turn this into a viable operation.
Firstly, Real Madrid will have Presidential elections & the new President
may see this as a good deal to raise cash for big signings. Secondly, the
rumoured arrived of Cristiano Ronaldo may block Robben from playing
as much as wished. Finally the “rumoured” tension being lived in the
Real Madrid dressing room with accusations of his “egoistic” style of play
may tip the balance in favour of Robben deciding to take up the Liverpool
challenge.
It is all speculation & SFS will keep track of this improbable story in case
