More pieces from the Florentino Perez puzzle (see post below), according to
Italian media “Tuttosport” the ex - REAL MADRID President had dinner
with current AC MILAN Coach CARLO ANCELOTTI in Geneva last week.
There they discussed the possibility of have the Italian on the Florentino Perez
“ticket” for the upcoming Real Madrid Presidential elections as the teams
Coach for next season.
According to the source, & picked up here by local newspapers, Ancelotti
was offered a 3 year contract at a salary of 5 M€/season ( i.e. 15 M€ for
three years). The meeting took place at the Floortwo Grill at the Grand
Hotel Kempinski (ex Noga Hilton) & the outcome could have finished in
a verbal agreement between both parties.
This goes against other stories that place Ancelotti at Chelsea FC, but the
Real Madrid "angle" has a historical background & has been sounding for
quiet awhile. Meanwhile, everyone is awaiting Florentino Perez to announce
that he will present himself as a candidate, something he has yet to do.
