FC BARCELONA THE MOST FOLLOWED CLUB IN THE WORLD

A study done by the consultancy "Sport+Markt picked up by "AS"
locally has concluded that the Club with most fans in the World is FC
BARCELONA with 44,000,000.

This was concluded after the Consultancy did a survey of 9,600 fans
from 15 - 65 years of age in 16 countries

Barça was followed by REAL MADRID in second place with 41,000,000
fans & in third place was Manchester United with 37,600,000 fans. The study
added that the marketing efforts of both Spanish teams to go outside Spain
& exploit the Asian & US markets have played an important role in these
figures.
