SPANISH CUP 2008/2009 - LAST 16 - 2º LEG RETURN GAMES RESULTS

Big night of 2º LEG SPANISH CUP games with 7 places been settled
& giving us 7 teams that move onto the Q/Finals. Tomorrow the last game
will be played - At.Bilbao vs. Osasuna - that will send one of these two
along with the other 7 onward in the competition. Here are the results &
scorers:

The 1ºst leg finished Sporting de Gijon 3 - Valladolid 1
The 2ºleg saw SPORTING go through to the Q/Finals thanks to the 92th
min goal by JORGE. Before that,VALLADOLID nearly pulled it with two
goals from CANNOBBIO (23rd min) & LEON (77th min). Final result:
2-1 for Valladolid , but Sporting qualify.


















The 1ºst leg finished Sevilla 2 - Deportivo 1.
The 2ºleg saw an inspired SEVILLA FC defeat 0-3 away DEPORTIVO
with goals from NAVAS ( 1st min) & LUIS FABIANO two goals (21st
& 39th min)

The 1ºst leg finished Almeria 1 - Mallorca 1
The 2ºnd leg saw MALLORCA draw away & qualify with the 1-1
scoreline. Goals by PIATTI for Almeria (3rd min) & ARANGO from
a free kick for Mallorca in the 28th min

The 1ºst leg finished with Real Union 0 - Real Betis 1
The 2º leg puts REAL BETIS ahead thanks to the goal from ARZU
in the 22nd min to give them the victory & pass to the Q/Finals with
the 1-0 final scoreline over REAL UNION


















The 1ºst leg finished Pol Ejido 2 - Espanyol 3.
The 2º leg finished with a solitary goal & winner from MARTINEZ for
ESPANYOL over POL.EJIDO. Result a 1-0 victory for Espanyol

The 1ºst leg finished Racing de Santander 1 - Valencia CF 1.
The 2º leg was a cliff hanger that went into extra time after it finish in
the 90th min with a goal for VALENCIA from VICENTE & for
RACING from COLSA. However, in the extra time Valencia took over
with goals from VICENTE again & JOAQUIN. Final result 3-1 for
Valencia CF


















The 1ºst leg Atletico de Madrid 1 - FC Barcelona 3
The 2º leg saw Atletico try but it finished in a 2-1 scoreline in Barça´s favor.
Goals from PONGOLLE (23rd min) for ATLETICO DE MADRID &
BOJAN (28th min) & GUDJOHNSON ( 76th min) for FC
BARCELONA. Barça qualifies with further bad news for Atletico
with Aguero being injuried
